Like all other Morgan Dollars minted, the 1921 features a composition of 90% silver and 10% copper. The coin weighs 26.73 grams and has a diameter of 38.1mm or 1.5 inches. Because of the Peace Dollar’s minting at the end of 1921, not many examples were produced. Only 1,006,000 coins were produced and distributed to the public. This low mintage makes the 1921 Peace Dollar much rarer than the 1921 Morgan Dollar.
